Project Summary

Commissioning of a model lecture room for the department of entrepreneurship and agribusiness and the department of renewable energy at cape coast technical university

The EDA Foundation, a Corporate Social Responsibility wing of EDA Logistics, on 10th February, 2024, commissioned a model lecture room for the Department of Entrepreneurship and Agribusiness, and the Department of Renewable Energy at the Cape Coast Technical University.

This project came to fruition through correspondences between Dr. Atsu Nkukpornu (Department of Entrepreneurship and Agribusiness, and Ing. Dr. Gabriel Jonathan Amissah (The Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy), both staff of Cape Coast Technical University and the Management of EDA Group, coupled with the vision of the EDA Foundation which is aims at contributing to the development of an entrepreneurial culture among university students and the local community as well as empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

A delegation from EDA Logistics led by the CEO of EDA Logistics and Board Chairman of the EDA Foundation, Mr. Eric Dziedzom Akukumah was present to support the Vice Chancellor of the Cape Coast Technical University, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye and other staff and faculty of the University to commission the model lecture room which is furnished with two (2) air conditioners, four (4) ceiling fans, roller window blinds, and a projector to facilitate the teaching and learning process.

During the function, a series of presentations were delivered highlighting the significance of the model lecture room to the department. Mr. Eric Dziedzom Akukumah acknowledged the unwavering passion and dedication of Dr. Atsu Nkukpornu exhibited towards the establishment of the model lecture room in the department. He further reiterated the vision of the EDA Foundation which seeks to empower young individuals tap into their entrepreneurial abilities.

Dr. Atsu Nkukpornu did not mince words while appreciating the life changing efforts and inspiring initiative of the EDA Foundation in the establishment of the model lecture room. He promised to ensure that the model lecture room is utilized appropriately and maintained properly in the coming years. He urged the students to take advantage of the opportunities at their door step and to use the facility wisely and sustainably.

A number of the students who were present to witness the brief function expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the CEO of EDA Logistics and Board Chairman of the EDA Foundation, Mr. Eric Dziedzom Akukumah for agreeing to help make the model lecture room a reality. They vowed to put the model lecture room to good and sustainable use.
